On June 21 and 22, 2022, the Safe Structure Architecture Event was held, focusing on the “Design of the Solaris Coastal Tower.” Five distinguished architectural teams participated: Dot Group, Shift Group, Zendigan Company, Fluid Motion Company, and Arc Studio Group. During this exceptional event, the consultants presented their proposals before a select audience of prominent figures from the construction industry, subjecting their designs to expert evaluation.
Our aim in organizing this event extended beyond achieving a distinguished and executable design for the Solaris Coastal Tower. We sought to initiate a new approach to defining construction projects. For the first time, consultants presented their concepts directly to industry professionals, allowing the jury to discuss and critique each proposal in the presence of its creators. This process not only led to the selection of one or more viable designs but also fostered a deeper understanding among key project stakeholders of the challenges inherent in a project of Solaris’s scale and complexity.
The event jury included the late Master Iraj Kalantari, Mr. Engineer Hossein Sheikh-Zeynoddin, Dr. Kamran Afshar Naderi, and Dr. Nasrin Seraji. In addition, expert review teams evaluated the proposals in specialized fields such as structural engineering, installations, construction, branding, façade engineering, landscaping, operations, tourism, and environmental impact.
